Monday blues!

Monday morning, the weekend is over, hubby and eldest are back at work and school and I'm at home with a little man who is not very well. He felt rather warm last night and kept kicking off the quilt, but he normally does this so didn't see much of an issue. Upon getting up however he was been coughing and his chest doesn't sound to great. He has also thrown up,not alot and he was fighting with his sister over a hair brush ( don't ask!) so all fun this morning.  Had to cancel a walk I had arranged with a friend as I didn't think it was fair to drag my little boy out for longer then the school run. We will get chance to have this walk at some point!!

Tried out a stroller that a friend had given me to use on our upcoming holiday/camping trip and found my little man is too long for it! lol my little boy who is rather short and skinny is too long for something bless, as well as mine big clodhoppers ( feet) kept hitting the brakes. I'm not sure if I can use it or not. Will have to try out the other one she gave us ( I have a very generous friend! and I am very grateful xxx) and see if that is any good for us size wise and for going in the car with the rest of our crap... er i mean camping stuff :)

Not much else planned for today apart from tidying the house up ( oh yes my life is full of excitement lol) as I always find after a weekend with everyone home it needs doing!

We got a free billy bookcase yesterday, only thing was that it was missing two shelves ( not that they told us that.. hrrrm. ) we have put it into my daughter's bed room as her old book case was over flowing.

Now as you can see it is much better! ( not that I took a before picture!) we will get two additional shelves next time we go to Ikea ( Which probably won't be that far in the future, we go far to often lol). On top of the book case I put all her puzzles and games so feels like she has more space in there! She is currently under a death threat however to keep it nice.  And as you can see her dermol cream ( green bottle) and inhaler are never far away. ( No she does not touch these unless needed and we deal with them. She isn't silly enough to mess around) It is amazing what you get for free though, pity it smelled of smoke blugh! some toys we picked up from a ebay purchased smelled of smoke too. Wonder if people realise the impact they have on their items? probably not but not getting into that!

Let's see what the rest of today brings! ... I hope it's not more sick :(

The sun is shining

Wedding bliss

Well it was such a busy day yesterday and much longer then I thought it would be! myself and the family went to a friend's wedding and party yesterday. I was up from the crack of dawn and in doing that I was bathing the kids... fun when trying to keep quiet so you don't wake daddy lol but it was managed!

Felt like I spent all morning running around, washing, ironing, keeping children clean etc but once all were dressed etc we had loads of time to kill -_-! so it was a trip into town and a wander around all dressed up, cue funny looks! oh well!

It was a lovely day and I am so happy for my friend and her now husband and we are very grateful to be invited to share in their day.

Down side to this lovely day was in the form of the dreaded eczema!! Now I was prepared I brought my daughter's cream with us in my over loaded change bag, both children had their anti histamine in the morning ( These are all day ones) but alas the itchy monster still attacked. I put cream on my daughter at least four times yesterday and by the end of the day her poor knees where red raw and swollen, ouch! not much more I could have done for her, except next time put her in pants to protect her legs. But I wanted her to be girly and not having to hide away. Think it was a combination of running around, grass outside and fabric seats.  I must look into getting some sort of seat cushion or mat sorted out for her! I hope though she doesn't become to self conscious with it.

Another plus side I got my first Bzzagent buzzkit in the post! this time its for Flora original. Basically if you join up to be a Bzzagent fill in a couple of their surveys to see if you are right for the campaigns, you get to test and review things and the more you do the more you get to try out!  www.bzzagent.co.uk no harm in giving it a go and you know freebies!! :)

Today consists of our weekly shop, going getting a Ebay item, getting a free Billy bookcase and... Silverstone! or rather i'll be doing the washing whilst hubby watches Silverstone.

Busy busy busy!

Well I think we are all busy busy busy! but when are mummies ever really still? Even when sat down, I'm feeding a child, or helping with reading, home work etc. Not that my 5 year old gets a lot of home work but reading seems to come all at once!

After my terrible nights sleep yesterday we had a busy day, we went to play group the three of us, as normally my daughter would be in school but because of the strike she was with me, not that I mind it made a lovely change for her to see play group again but omg my ears! as I was already tired I was even more so after!  we took a trip into town and saw my husband ( we pestered him at work! ) and went for a brew. Nothing exciting there I know! But it is our Thursday routine! we came home and watched Finding Nemo and Gnomeo and Juliet, where i tried to dose on the couch (the littlest was asleep!! ) I at least got some rest before having to go rushing around to the library where my daughter could do some crafting.

Well this is the creation for an hour, a Harry Potter themed Snakes and Ladders which she did all herself. It was laminated there and we did make a die for it as well. Rather proud mummy! :) 

 Finally managed to get some sleep last night! not a full night but mostly full. So feeling alot better today, which is good as I have things to do, such as getting soaked on the school run. Seriously though, got a wedding to go to tomorrow, so I need to find my youngest his shirt and tie, iron my daughters dress, put all my things together and sort out the change bag. Also putting together essential creams and inhalers because if my daughter is going to be running around, I can guarantee we are going to need it! 

Suppose I better get off my bum and keep being busy! Good day all x

Let the Blog begin!

Hello there! 

I'm Chelle, mummy of two crazy children, my daughter who is five and my little man who is 16 months old! ( Where has the time gone?!) I have chosen to write a blog to jot down my every day ramblings and goings on as a help for me to remember things, as well as helping me to cope with the general day to day happenings of being a mum. Especially a mum caring for a child with severe atopic eczema, seasonal allergies and asthma, and another who has hayfever and is a rather clingy child!  

Not here for sympathy I have had the last 5 years of moping and sleepless nights to cope with it all.  Now I just get to share my experiences and hope to help people along the way! 

Bit about me, I'm 27, live in Greater Manchester, England, I have been happily married for the last 7 years and been with my husband for 9 years. Not killed each other yet so that's a good sign :D. I am a stay at home mum as currently trying to find a job and child care to pick up my daughter from school and to have flexible hours is a joke.I won't get into that now though! I love being a stay at home mum, having some valuable time with my son, and being able to pick my daughter up from school and spending time with her is always a bonus not something all mums are fortunate enough to do. 

I love to read, and spend alot of time reading, traditional books as well as on a E reader, I'm not biased! only time i get to read though is when children are sleep. so i try and fit in what i can. I am a bit of a geek on the side, loving genres such as Sci fi, don't get into an argument with me over Star Wars or Harry Potter because I will win. Other people have their escapes and mine is these genre's having spent many hours reading, watching, role playing in these settings it has been a great escape over the years. Especially when i was a teenager! 

Currently I am writing this after having a terrible nights sleep with my little boy, teething.. don't you just love it? So if there are any mistakes I have missed then i do apologise.

For now I will leave it there and add to some more ramblings later. I have a busy day ahead, play group this morning with both children ( as my daughters Teachers are on strike!) later on we are heading to the library for a free crafting session for my daughter, hopefully making our own Snakes and Ladders game ! And generally keeping two kids occupied all day when running on half a tank! I think the kettle is calling :D x
