Manners, crafts and eye tests

Common manners would dictate that surely if you are messaging someone that you would reply, especially when you had been on within the last 5 minutes? no? Trying to sort out collection for this tent is driving me potty! yes they got in touch asking when would be good, so i said any evening and what days i am in. And nothing again for a whole 24 hours. I think it is pretty rude!!  breath.. breath I'm sure i'll hear something soon! I did send another message today saying what times would be good in case they didn't get the message clear enough!!  Can you tell i'm annoyed?!

Yesterday I didn't get chance to write my blog as it took about 3 hours to get little man settled in his bed, to be fair, I had already put him down, and when hubby went up I asked him to run me a bath and id chance it incase he woke up... dear lord!! he woke up kicking and screaming and ended up in the bath with me, then tried to put him back to bed which took two hours ugh! I was so tired and rather fed up. No I don't like the cry it out method and can't really do that as I can't just dump him in the cot, there is no side on his cot so he can get out and personally i think leaving your child to scream in distress is rather cruel! nothing wrong with a cuddle you are not going to spoil them. My daughter although by his age was in her own room albeit in her cot, was not left to cry it out. She was read stories etc and so I try this with the little monster who just wasn't in the mood.  So I thought today was going to be awful when really both children have been behaved, played nicely gone down for naps, ( little man not daughter) and watched dvd's with barely any words. Very odd!


Yesterday they weren't their best, just screaming, tantrums and the rest. Yet when out in town they were well behaved. Daughter went for her eye test and turns out she is slightly long sighted. I hadn't noticed !! feel slightly guilty, i only noticed in the test as she was squinting. So today when watching and curious what she could read i could see she was squinting too. Funny though how shes done so well with her reading this year? Wondering if she has just "stressed" out her eyes a little with all the reading? not sure tbh. Been told to go back in 6 months, no glasses for now and we'll see how she goes. Yet with practically everyone in the family needed glasses( apart from me, touch wood) its not a surprise if one of them needs glasses. Though i felt so.. silly, i didn't even know what my hubbies eye sight was. Stupid memory! Shall see how we go!!

Tomorrow its a drink with the girls! that being a coffee in Leigh with my mother in law and friends and I can't wait, it will be nice to see them and have a chat, hope kiddies behave.. ( I do mean mine!) got a crafting session in the afternoon, some magnet making which sounds a bit interesting! and really hoping that little man doesn't scream all the way though this like he did the bingo.. really wish he wasn't so vocal in the screaming. Yes i know its the way toddlers communicate but not really a great thing when i'm in the middle of people!

Got a few things to get as well for holiday which has definately been confirmed with the holiday sight soo wooo!!! can't wait :)

Here comes the rain again! :)

Well I couldn't resist, its one of my favourite songs (I have a varied music taste! ) And with all the rain we've had on and off today i thought it was app. Although not as much as some who have had it today and barely any thunder storms ( come on!! ) where as in Manchester with hubby there was atleast 4... no fair :( though thunder bothers me a little, I like the lightning. I know I'm weird but if you are reading this then you already know that!!

Not much activity today, I just thought i should post something.. we've had a little bit of a crafty and tv day as its been pouring down. I attempted to sort out toys.. which with the kids around is silly. Attempting to gather things together for our trip and trying to keep fingers crossed that we get some nice weather. I know you get what you get in this country but a little sunshine will be nice please!

In other news the tent sold on ebay for more than the buy it now price! whooo! just need the buyer to get in touch! ( which they better do soon, i did post it needs to be gone by sunday!) another fingers crossed as it would be nice to have the money before we went! 

 Now as you should know I am a BzzAgent, i get to review products  for free! ( Always nice!) all you have to do is complete surveys ( not lots) and do some on line activities. These are pictures of littlest's t-shirt after eating spaghetti. Obviously he is a baby and got it everywhere! normally i wouldn't even dream of getting this all out!

And yet look, i pre treated it first with the Persil stain ball eraser (you just use a little liquid onto the stains and rub it in, which i did do all over)
Put it in the washing machine on a longer load then 30 mins and this is the result! I think it is rather good going. Now don't get me wrong i've had some hit and misses but this is the best one so far, on purpose that is! So i would recommend this. Even just for tough baby stains!!

Biting my tongue.

I know I shouldn't and sometimes I wish I would speak my mind because sometimes, I bottle it all up and I get super pissed off and annoyed about it at home where no where else can hear apart from hubby! ( sorry dear!) Nothing overly in particular but I don't appreciate my dyslexia being compared to something that was self inflicted, drinks involved or not. If you are out late etc then that is your doing!

My dyslexia affects me every day, and alot of the time I take a lot of effort trying to correct my mistakes so that no one knows or at least can tell.  Hell I managed to get to University and hope to go back soon to finish my degree, that has to be something right? (Even impressed Hubby when he was looking at my previous exam results). Also I don't purposely wake baby up at half 5 or anything so if you are up late and tired in the morning then not my problem! I am tired because I've been up early, or been up in the night looking after a child with severe eczema, come back when you can understand this tiredness!!

Also if I had the guts I would have sent a scathing email to a person on Ebay today, who yesterday was trying to buy our new tent for £10 and wanted to come and collect it there and then after putting a bid on. But then today sent me an email wanting to retract it as they had been given a tent ... wtf! messing us around so much! Also still no one else has bidded and it finishes in the morning *hits head* come on! :(

 Hahaha there is me whining about ebay and just gone and looked and there are now bids on the tent thank goodness for that!!  phew.

Today was a lot better then yesterday, didn't have to shout at all today, which is sooo nice, yes a couple of words were said but nothing much. Dvd's were watched, kiddies were happy with ice cream and a hot dog from Ikea.. ( we popped out for a bit) All bathed and in bed and oh so nice :)

So for once not being a mean mummy I let her go out like that ( note she was dressed in leggings and a t-shirt underneath so it didn't aggrivate her eczema, see not even as simple as putting on some "fun" clothes)

Got a few things on again this week, opticians for little miss, magnet making on Thursday (please please don't let him scream the place down again) also arranging to meet with friends. And officially one week till holiday!!! can't wait!

Oh and please don't kill me because I asked for the rain... ;) 

Weekend once more

As my daughters grandma said today, If there was a competion for moaning, my daughter would win it hands down every time. This is so true!! whatever you can whinge about she did today. Well this afternoon anyway. I appreciate kids don't want to be active all the time and she'd happily sit and watch dvd's all day if she could but we wanted to get out whilst we had some sunshine left, after all it is set to be very wet for the next week or so ( not complaining!! ) So after we did shopping and swimming this morning ( which she is really coming along with, in my opinion) we had lunch at home and about an hour or so we went for our walk. Not 10 minutes in she started to complain that she was hurting, then she was hot and thirsty. Gave her a drink. Still hot, her head was itchy (due to her hat) etc etc.

I tried to make it fun by trying to guess how many boats there would be on the canal, she was the closest with 7 in the end along the way we counted 16 narrow boats! never seen that many before in one go. And most are nice and give and little way or say hello which is always nice!

We went and searched for butterflies, heard some crickets, watched some bees and dragon flies and had a good day for nature... all around the complaining! Not sure how she manages to fit it all in. However we all made it back in one piece, after stopping at a shop on the way back for a cold drink. We did 3 miles. This doesn't sound alot but it wasn't a straight path and had to carry the pram up some steps. It was nice to get out as a family on a walk though, we don't get much chance to do that, and we proved your legs won't fall off either after 3 miles! lol.

Pity i don't think we can buy her proper walking sandles yet, i know this probably didn't help but it was too warm for trainers or something similar!  but finally she is asleep! eczema doesn't look too clever and there are a few new patches :(  also little man has a little patch ( and i do mean little) on his leg but something to watch over!

\And it needs to rain soon as its too muggy for little man to be comfortable !

Worshiping the single parent

I'm not quite sure how they do it, apart from the fact that needs must!! single parents seem to have the crappy end of the stick, bringing up the kiddies with no peace, having to work if they can as well as trying to sort out the work life balance. It must be so hard! I am thankful that my husband is around for weekends and evenings but omg during the day it is so hard!

Went to the library today, and we were late for some reason I thought the activity was 2.30- 3.30.. .no it was 2-3. I got confused with the other time of 10.30-11.30. So we missed half of spooky bingo. ( it was just spooky picture cards. ) so I had a whining 5 yr old as we were late and then continued to whine because she wasn't winning! To top it off little man was screeching, and screeching as he wanted to go and look at the fish but I couldn't leave misses on her own.. so had to endure all that and wishing the ground would swallow me up as it was so embarrassing and someone I use to work with was there! thank goodness I got on with her but still I'm not very comfortable with seeing people from work. Just own personal reasons that and I left whilst on maternity leave so didn't really say goodbye to people etc. Alas water under the bridge

So after the library we popped very quickly into Leigh and got some ice creams so to keep the children happy, we had been at the park before the library so they've not had a bad day all in all. Except when I get, "I'm bored" etc.. I kinda flipped my lid! Being to the park, going to the library (which i paid for ) ice creams bought and all the toys under the sun upstairs and I get I'm bored, or I can't reach that ugh!!  Also eldest wanted to watch what she wanted on tv but I have put my foot down, as we had it on for hours this morning with inane drivel! god help me.

I know I sound awful but I have done stuff with them today and struggled with trying to keep the 17 month old entertained whilst taking the 5 year old out to do something instead of being stuck at home. Hardly a terrible parent. I also pushed both children on the swing plus a friend of my daughters so I'm not all terrible am I??

I will be glad for daddy to be home and at the weekend so there is another voice of authority to back me up. ... So I'm not just the evil parent in the house ;)

Wandering neighbours and ebay selling!

Finally sold one of the tents! it was the more expensive one and it went a bit cheaper then i would have liked but it is gone, as in gone gone!  not even in the house and was all done within an hour! but least its extra money towards the holiday. So so far we have enough for three tanks for fuel which should last for the holiday! Whoo! seeing as money is a bit tight at the moment it will come in very handy!! and that is is only just over a week to go - 10 days ish the purse strings are tightly tied. Come on holiday!


On another note a neighbour in the street, or rather family member of a neighbour as I'm not sure if she is over here permanently or not thinks it is ok to go wandering into other peoples gardens when they are not in. I watched her do it, She went into the next door's garden, tried the back gate, which was locked. Had a wander in the front and then wandered off. I have no idea if this woman has any  issues mentally, i don't personally think so. She doesn't speak English so i can't tell her to bugger off, as she has been in our garden once letting her grandson ride his trike round our car, i opened the door to see what was going on and she just came and jabbered at me in, what i think was polish ( please don't get me wrong i have no issues with people from different countires!) then she wandered off. I have since heard other rumours that she has stolen things from other gardens but i personally haven't see this.

Not sure if we are just over protective of our properties, but i just think this is a huge violation of space considering the person who lives at the property she keeps visiting has been there a couple of weeks now.  Hate confrontations but i think something needs to be do soon. Like a phone call to the community police etc!!

five minutes peace

Anyone read the book, Five minutes peace, featuring the "Large Family"? well today i felt like Mrs Large ( not due to my weight or anything lol) just at the end of the day, I put little man to bed and settled down to have a nap too as i was awake before 5 this morning! sooo tired. So what do i get, "mummy can you read me a story" this was from my daughter, now i don't really begrudge her a story (though she is fully capable atm of reading one to herself) but i was so tired. so i said five minutes.. but she carried on complaining where it meant it woke her brother up ugggh!! Eventually got him back to sleep and went to read her a story under my terms. But doesn't change the fact now that i'm super tired.

I need a really good coffee! But thankfully it isn't long till bed time. And I am hoping i get some decent sleep tonight. The main thing is three days into summer holidays and I haven't killed the children yet ;)!!

Here are a selection of photos from our walk on Monday to the park at Pennington Flash. We are really lucky to live a nice walk away from such a beautiful park. The top picture is of the canal and my daughter this was at 9 am as we wanted to get out before it got to hot, she was trying to get around me  as i said don't keep throwing pebbles in or you'll end up falling in like your uncle... ( i won't embarass you ;) ). Middle picture is a new ish structure that resembles lock doors that we get on a canal it says "unlock" on it. It shows we haven't been down this way for a while as i hadn't seen this before  the bottom picture is the path heading out of the park and towards the main road, i took this as i like forest esq paths. I often find myself day dreaming about such paths. Seeing as i like to write creatively and role play on line ( think online story writing but with others joining in the plot!) i try to imagine these sorts of scenes. That and it is so calm and peaceful! I really am  a nature girl at heart. 

Going to go and get some sleep me thinks and see if it is nice enough to go to another park tomorrow. We need to get out and on the cheap! Take care x  

Rain! and bugs!

Not for the conventional British Summer this year ( so far!) we have had three weeks of sunshine and heat wave without a trace of rain and barely even clouds, until today! but even then where we are there hasn't been that much rain so far!  Not long after we woke up there was a brief thunder storm  and it rained but not for very long and for the rest of the day it's just been very muggy! blergh!! if i knew it wasn't going to rain again i wouldn't have taken mine or the kids coats as we have been out today. 

Today we were at the library again doing "bug craft" which basically came down to making a paper bat, Styrofoam spider and a painted rock thing ( yes thing! i shall have to get pictures later!!) bit of a mess and a faff and very busy! but least it was something for an hour. After that we went and pestered my sister and her family for the afternoon, at least daughters managed to go outside and play for a little bit!

 Silly mummy today forgot to give eldest her anti histamine... and then visited my sisters, very silly thing  to do as my sister has cats and she is allergic but thankfully sister had some eyedrops and a antihistamine or else we would have had to go home! It's not like me to be so unorganised! but this morning it was different with hubby working from home and heading out to the library...must must set myself a alarm. 

I hope some more rain comes tonight this muggy heat needs to go and soon. Id like us all to get some sleep! 

car booting!

Well the carboot is over with and... we still have the tents! O_O not one person was interested which was a real shock to us. we were not asking for silly money, just a reasonable figure as one tent is brand new and the other has only been used once, honestly. I appreciate people don't want to buy something that might have lots of holes in or torn up but i would have happily given them my mobile number and told them to call us back if there were any problems. But no, we had one person saying that he bought them and sold them on, but wasn't interested... er why? and another family saying what we were asking as too much... family tent used once, cost over £100 new and we wanted £50 for it? too much? i don't think so! and the other brand new tent worth £60 we wanted £30 for it. Oh well maybe we are dreaming too much.

But we DID make some money yesterday, though by the end of the day we wanted rid and were selling stuff for 10p!! some people got some series bargains but we didn't want to bring it home! Close eyes and never mind.

Yesterday afternoon wasn't very good in terms of health. Little man fell over and scrapped his nose, head and chin and after that he went and slammed the door on his thumb!! He is ok, thumb is ok just a cut on it  ( that didn't bleed? ) and his face as the usual battle scars! he is too much like his mum and bashes his nose far too often! Poor daughter too was suffering with her legs all afternoon. Honestly its driving me mad. She had heat packs and medicine. Barely ate tea and went to bed. Wish i knew what to do.... and shes been scratching so its that the eczema joy over with?


Well its the first official week of the Summer holidays here! got stuff at the library planned for Tuesday and Thursday. Planning to go to the big park today whilst it is nice, as the rest of the week its set to rain and thunder! Just need the rain to bugger off this time in two weeks!! countdown to holiday is on!!!

Eczema Joy?

Sorry for the lack of quietness yesterday with everything going on and how hot it was I was just not in the mood to try and sit and write something. But today has been better and not so hot so i'm not melting with the laptop!!


For a change my daughter's eczema is actually healing.. I have never seen her skin so calm and it would be typical that after at least 12 months of it being awful and planning a dvd with her dermatologist that when we come to film it that my daughter is fine... well fine for her! no open sores, barely any redness. Nice to touch. in all her 5 1/2 years I've not seen her skin so nice. So what has caused this? and in conclusion I think it is the heat shock horror! at first and in the past with any amount of heat she has flared up horriblely and as the last couple of weeks, pictures and rants have shown it goes bad. But now that we have had this heat for three weeks her body is thinking oooooh I can heal this is nice! And it is, though we are still having problems with her joints and now a wobbly tooth ( don't ask! ) but nice skin and to give her a break even if it is going to be briefly is some relief!
DVD is for the project we are helping out our dermatologist with, it is a new pack that will be given to all "new" cases of eczema in children ( not sure if its adults as well). And we were more than happy to help. Won't go into more detail.. in case i'm not supposed too lol.

Today has seen us spend money on stuff i was not expecting to buy.. couple things for camping. and new clothes for missues, though some things in there are for the new school term! ( i need to spread it out!) However these clothes (apart from the polo tops) were all on sale thanks to Asda lol. Poor little man is the one who missed out today for a change!

Been preparing for the car boot tomorrow and not looking forward to the very early start! but needs must and hoping people will come and buy some things. please!! Just a bit of extra money for our holiday. Fingers crossed for fine weather and plenty people!

Wasting time

Personally I hate being late for things, and I hate wasting my time, be it on people on in appointments or  just sat around waiting. I hate it! ( seems to be a theme of the week) I feel like my time has been wasted today in going to this Dr's appointment. We were not seen by our usual doctor, although she was there. (So i didn't get to have my go wondering why our appointments were moved around) And we've had to go through things again ( when you have a eczema, asthma etc suffering child you find in alot of appointments you are going through family history etc alot!!)

So we just seemed to go over what had been said before he checked her joints, her eczema is actually manageable today as well as her asthma as he said her chest sounded clear ( whoo!) But basically nothing has changed and I've been told she has growing pains. Even though it is affecting all her joints.. er I don't think so even looking at the web ( yes yes i know again) doesn't say it affects joints so... wtf!! Not happy at all. And Just ended up with two screaming children, one because blood was being taken from her again. And the other because he thought he was being seen too and because mummy was going into another room. (Hits head against a wall!). It's not fair.

But anyway she took it as she always does, mostly in her stride, though she does not like having her blood taken as they can't take it from her hand ( hard to get veins!) and no special spray on her elbow because of her eczema.  Hate putting her through it. wondering if i should just stop and try and get on with it?

We had a nice time though after, took her for some lunch, and a ice cream and popped to school to pick up her medicine, though it was well past closing time! Feel a bit guilty for not getting her to say goodbye to some of her friends for the summer. as i don't have some of the mums contacts! doh!

So after melting at home we went to our last after school library session and melted in there instead!! and here are our creations. Thankfully this week Thomas didn't scream it down and was rather happy trying to decorate/ eat cake!!

We were only meant to do two each but because only a handful of us turned up instead of the 18 that had been listed we got to do 5 each lol. Daughter had one and little man had attacked the top of another but refused to let him eat it in the car as we had just cleaned it out this morning!

Tomorrow brings the first day of summer holidays and what are doing? we are back in town again with the dermatology department for an appointment.. as well as filming for a dvd!! all fun. Take care x

On the ball!

Well I am a little pleased with myself today, I hate and I mean hate ringing the tax office but I got my finger out and did it, it always makes me feel sick though because really they can change your life with what they say and what they give. And at the moment we rely on that money as it pays for the food coming in! Scary but don't want to think about that at the moment. Seeing as what money we have coming in has gone down i'm keeping fingers crossed that it would go in our favour. I just have this fear of being told off, a bit silly but you would think i would want to do these things sooner so i wouldn't get told off.... this is coming from a 27 year old. Yeah.

Long day today though, hot, sticky, even more hard work when daughter came home as she was in a horrible mood all the way home probably due to the weather but she was upset as one boy out of her class got a reward today, ( no one else did) seemed to be one person out of each class but she was upset and she is upset as she won't get her attendance one tomorrow as she is at a hospital appointment! I don't want to have to rush to put her into school for an hour seems like a waste of time. Not sure what to do at all! Oh to be 5 again and for these to be my only worries. I am just thankful that shes not been ill enough to miss a full day even will her issues.

Speaking of which it is our appointment tomorrow! I suppose I had better write down what i want to talk about or else I will forget. Again problems with being dyspraxic means I forget what to say or forget what's been said. I fear though we are going to get fobbed off again and nothing is wrong. Shall see what happens!

Been sorting out through the attic for some things to sell on the car boot on Sunday. Even selling a brand new tent. Trying to be ruthless .... so many books that we want to keep hold of but i know as well that they must go. ..I NEED a library lol. Alright I shall go and melt into bed and see what tomorrow brings.

You know you are a parent when....

One bowl of cereal can cause chaos! As you can imagine mornings are a bit hectic as they are for many families, as well as getting my daughter up ready for school I have to make sure that she has all her creams on and all her medicine so i know she isn't going to suffer at school all day. Even though they do put cream on sometimes I don't personally think they do enough, though i do appreciate they have 20 + students to take care of. If only i had her to deal with but no, i have the 17 month old who likes to think he can have crisps for breakfast....seriously! several times this week and it's only Tuesday!!

So yesterday daughter wants cereal, this is fine, i make her a bowl not to large or small ( because you know i'll get into trouble because its one way or another!! ) and carry on seeing to the little monster.. er i mean my son whilst she is eating etc. After one of two mouthfuls she says she is full... right ok fine, tell her to take it through to the kitchen which she does.

Not ten minutes later she says she is hungry, which annoys me a bit and by now her original cereal is a heap of mush in the kitchen! so I say ok go and get some Soreen! but because i do this and the little man sees he wants some so ok, i go and get the other packet from the kitchen, having not noticed the little monster had been there already and got hold of the first bowl of cereal which had been on the edge of the counter and tipped it all and its mushy mess down the cupboard door and on the floor. One little bowl of cereal, that if daughter had eaten, would have saved two Soreen packets ( the lunch box size), saved a screaming toddler and saved a mess in my kitchen!! who would have thought it lol.

Government forms oh the joy!

Not that many people know, but I am dyslexic and dyspraxic. I find it sometimes difficult to spell and to write grammatically correct, thank goodness for  spell checker and my hubby who helps me whenever I am stuck! But I am in charge of filling out the forms as with our daughter I am her main career in terms of doing her creams, going to all the appointments etc as hubby works full time so it only makes sense that I do it, but geeze this form is so long and complicated and asks questions again but in a different way so you have to make sure to re word it to go with the question but at the same time not making any mistakes that sounds like you don't need any help.

It got me rather down today thinking of it all. Now I know ok, that my daughter is happy, she is intelligent ( boy is she! ) but thinking through it all, what limitations there might be on her, what processes we have to go through just for a simple day out or just going to the pool are  well.. immense! making sure all medicines have been taken, creams put on, the right choice of clothing, a cushion if needed. etc. And its not like she has any food allergies! I'm not sure how other mums and dads do it! This is why sometimes I feel so helpless and.. lacking as a parent as I am not coping! then again this is one of the reasons why I made Eczema Support!

Blah! okay not thinking of any more government forms today, I shall finish it tomorrow if possible and get it photocopied so I know what I can write for next time! As I have filled one of these out before but last year! Suppose since Eczema etc changes that she could be" fine" this time next year... oh I wish! We shall see what happens this week though as we go for our hospital appointment on Thursday and our dermatology appointment on Friday! busy week really!

In other news i've been testing out the new Persil product and I am not overly impressed, scrubbed the solution into daughters school dresses and they are still grubby! and yet put it in with little man's vests, one not covered in food etc or chocolate ( like another one had been and been scrubbed and it hadn't all come out) but the collar had been stained a different colour, this colour had come out!! and I didn't even scrub it. Very odd and seems to be hit and miss but I shall keep trying it!

Play group party tomorrow, should be good, not to hot and some time out with the family before more form filling! all good really!  Let the week continue! Please forgive me for the ramble as I need this outlet x

Car boot bargains!

Should know by now that I love a good bargain and though we turned up to the car boot rather later this morning ( was heading on for 11 am as we needed a couple of bits from Asda first) we managed to get a little umbrella fold buggy ( that makes the total in the house now to 4! ) but it was really cheap and deffinatly small enough for the car for our camping trip!  our other bargain was a tv/dvd combi in Pink! ( omg was my daughter happy) for £5! and it works! so one very happy child who will eventually have a tv in her room. We just need something strong enough to put it on.

After that we had a lovely little family party to celebrate my youngest nephews 10th birthday!  and we got to see my step dads mum who has been really ill recently. So it was a really good day with family and one for bargains!

The sun is still shining but we had a nice breeze to go with it today, though the sun beating down on your back still proved to be rather hot!! the children had fun playing with the grandparents water hose though and it was only the little man who got really wet! and his vest soon dried off in the sunshine!  Only problem was I've left some cakes there that I was going to take to play group and one of my daughters sun hats -_- we always forget something!!

We have had an idea regarding next weekend and are hoping to do a car boot ourselves to try and raise some money for our holiday! even got daughter involved in aide to selling some of her toys she gets to have some extra spending money! Not sure how much I am going to be able to find, even though we have plenty of junk around the house! here's hoping, though I have already started a box!  If anyone wants to come and give a hand or wants to donate to selling ( yes yes being cheeky! :-p ) feel free  :) Or if you want to come and have a look we are hoping to go on Hindley car boot next Sunday!

Birdies and omg hot!!

I really do mean it when I say we are not accustomed to this sort of weather! its been what now? two weeks since it started to get warm. And I know I have complained about it ever since and for good reason! but to be fair my daughter's eczema hasn't been any worse today, its been more because of seats she has been sat on more than anything! That and her being irritable because of the heat but I think we all were!

After her Saturday morning swimming lesson we went to Gauntlet bird of prey centre in Knutsford as I had a groupon voucher to use! and it was worth it, some really nice birds. Its not a whole day out, but possible a mornings worth or at least an hour. We didn't stop for the displays as it was just too hot in the sunshine to be sat  with no shade ( and no breeze!!) But I only paid £4 which was less then a adult ticket, and the voucher i had would have got five people in, two adults, 3 children with drinks! ( which we were very grateful for at the end! ) But it was a good little trip out, and the children seemed to enjoy it. Though some of the birds seemed to be watching the little man, as if pondering... "hrrrm snack!! "

And one cheeky little chappy who didn't want to wear his hat, but don't worry is full of sun cream and we were not out for long!! (though funny thing is his sister and he both tan where his dad and I burn.. hrrm!) 

After we saw the birds of prey we had a little visit to the Airport viewing park as there was an event on ( old buses, cars, craft stalls etc) and so the kids were happy to see the airplanes coming in and taking off and we got to see a couple of friends which is always nice!  

So all in all a good day, I even have my free Persil samples to try out :) now just need some grubby clothes because oh that will be so hard to find in this house lol!! ending the day listening to Dr Who Proms.. (Thank you bro for reminding me it was on! ) Bring on another warm day tomorrow and a party.  

Proud mummy!

As promised a picture of our exploits from our Thursday craft sessions!  the yellow triangle thing was meant to be a frog ( it does hop if pushed). At the back is a basket ball hoop .. ball is around somewhere, a fortune teller thing and a paper airplane! She spent alot of time doing these with other parents and the people running the group until daddy came along as the little man decided he didn't want to sit and draw or sit in his pram he wanted to scream and run around. Soooo embarrassed! And very thankful other mums were understanding. Especially when at one point i was saying to my daughter we were going to have to leave and she stepped in and said she could sit with them. So nice!

Paid for her to do some activities in the summer so we have broken the weeks up a little, now just need to arrange with family etc any days out of spending time at each others and i might not kill the kids ;) Love them really but lots of work of course!  Can't believe they break up next week! At the same time though i don't fancy the appointment we have to do either :(

On a good note today was given my daughters school report ( i never even knew they got one!) hers was glowing and full of praise. I know at 5 there are not alot of things to say and they haven't done much but even with all her health problems she doesn't let it stop her! she has shone through with all her hard work and it says she perseveres with a challenge! way to go girl! and don't you dare give up on doing it! As well as that she has moved up, not one but two stages in her reading!! omg! its not long since she moved up into this one she was in. It's scary! and last time i said she should move up the teacher said it was normal for them to be in a group for a while.. yet they go and boost her up two! so when she starts in year 1 in September she'll have a reading age of at least those in the year above. Not sure i can keep up! but we have bought her some new books as a little gift for being so good and various other things. Shes growing up so fast!

Sorry bit of a mummy rant today i best leave before you all grow bored! :D going to a bird of prey centre tomorrow and need to remember the sun cream!! and a little party on sunday! whooo :) going to be a good weekend! hope everyone else has fun x

Support?

You know when you just want to bang your head out of fustration? I felt like this last night. I felt torn over what to do and actually what to say. I run a Eczema support group on Facebook (Literally Eczema Support if you want to come and join us) but on this group, I do not allow/ condone selling of any sort and financial gain from referrals. People suffering from Eczema and looking after those with Eczema would literally give their right arm to try something new to help. Often sleep deprived is it right that people come and try selling this new miracle cream with barely any pictures and stories which can be sometimes hard to believe? I'm all for wanting to try something new but i need facts, figures, pictures fgs!!

So last night two people were taking off, not by me as I was too chicken but my admin and sis who like me thought it was a bit dodgy and selling.  It just gets me so wound up and yet these people think its okay to come and do this and don't see any problems.

I saw this yesterday, and I thought it struck home a bit :

I feel this is particularly poignant as sometimes I do not know how I can keep going with my daughters Eczema and I know this sounds overly dramatic but it's constant. A continuous fear, whats going on, whats causing it. is this cream working, is it infected, why can't she sleep etc! but at the same time as her Eczema she has these other issues with her legs which I have said before. I'll admit I have spent many times crying over the situation and crying on the phone to my mum wondering why this was happening and that I couldn't cope. But here I am. So all the normal fears of a mum with extras on top!! No i'm no super mum, i shout and scream and paddy if i have to too and sulk as my hubby would agree. my escape include a long quiet bath with a book and chocolate! ( No chocolate in the bath though) 

It's Thursday again and so I've been blogging for two weeks, thank you for staying with me, I appreciate the support and hope I've not bored anyone too much, those who have given me feedback have been positive without bribes :)  so i'm not stopping any time soon! We have the grand choice today of doing origami at the library craft session, or going to schools pop concert. Hrrm I know what id rather!! But letting daughter decide as its her crafting sessions etc. Watch this space! all week she has said Origami but i feel this might change!

I hope today isn't as annoying as the latter end of yesterday. Have a good day whatever you are doing x

 

Christmas in July?

No really I know it is 5 months away and please don't shoot me for bringing it up, but I am not sure if I am super organised or just plain pathetic that I have bought another two.. yes thats right "another" presents for my daughter.

Don't get me wrong these aren't huge things and I was not planning on getting her lots for christmas as after all we are on a budget ( Isn't everyone?) But I keep seeing things in pesky stores like Home Bargains!

Found both of these in Home Bargains for £1.99. Pretty sure the Moshi Monster game is meant to be cheaper so I shall check later in the week! but for that price I honestly can't walk past them and wait for closer to the time because they would be gone. Didn't realise the Xia Xia thing didn't actually come with figures but I'm hoping they are easy to find. Good old Ebay might help me there! And if it means I am not spending a fortune and my daughter get's things she will actually play with and use then I am happy. And so is my bank account lol. Only the other week I bought lots of little push out things for Moshi Monsters, the full set in HB and it was under £7.. I love this shop!! 

According to the weather today it has cooled down a bit... doesn't feel like it, especially after walking up to the drs, round to the shops and home again! phew. Speaking of the drs I am not impressed ( I know am I ever?!) last week when we took the little man in for his croup, i asked them about some bandages my daughter needs ( see previous bandage regime!) and got told no letter had arrived from my dermatologist. Except something in June which  I thought was just regarding the childrens appointment. Oh no.. there were several pages attached according to the receptionist today, who helpfully  printed it off so I could see and we were able to order the right bits. I just wish it wasn't such a pain to do! Why should it have to be a fight all the time :(.   I've been a receptionist and was never as rude as some of these. Being polite goes along way especially when its a concerned mum! 

Right whilst little man is asleep i better go and hide these toys and perhaps get something productive done other than my blog.

Melting!

Oh golly gosh I am so not use to this sort of heat! I am aware other countries have it alot hotter but 28 degrees with humidity is ugh!! too hot. Yes I am one of "those" brits, I do not like it hot. Cold I can deal with as you can wrap up and use blankets etc. There are only so many layers you can take off before there are no more!

Finally had a call from the clinical nurse yesterday, only taken her a week and a half to get in touch. she has discharged my little boy ( as they can't keep them on unless there is specific treatment) and we are going to see how he goes. No one seems bothered however that he seems to get a illness/ cough etc straight to his chest every couple of weeks. It's not right! But shall have to see how he goes. This cough he has at the moment should be going within a week.

Not sure I can function to post a blog its too hot! lol, Ice creams aren't working and soon running out when both children want one and then yourself and that's before hubby comes home! Would go and sit in the garden but it's roasting out there and no shade to sit in. (under the parasol not helping!)

Had a lovely time at play group this morning and was very brave! I wore a dress, gasp, shock horror and all that. But I did it,  I was brave and seeing as i have some real issues with body imagine I think I did well! no comments or even stares! Then again I am sure there are worse sights in town.

That was from this morning when I was slightly less brave and had a shawl on but it grew too hot for that! 

Finally managed to get the children into bed, though I see a long night ahead tonight, it is so muggy and warm. Already got bandages on my daughter which won't help anything. She is so red raw :( Even little man was coming out in a rash of sorts today. times like these I wish i could take it away from them. I also feel like I am a failure, I know I'm not and that I am doing my best for them, but no one wants to see their child suffer. All she wanted to do was go into the paddling pool and I said no as her legs were weeping, so much so she was struggling to walk home!! we only live 15 minutes walk from school ( childs pace). It's heart breaking!! 

Hopefully it being slightly cooler tomorrow might help, or I might have to start giving her daily showers ( I don't normally as it irritates her skin). just anything to help! Another week before we have pediatric and dermatology appointments ( and end of school!!). Roll on another day! 

No Monday blues today!

No Monday blues today, it's too sunny to be upset or down because it is the start of the week! Had a decent weekend, the weather was lovely, had some nice friends of hubbies over ( not sure if i can say mine yet lol)  Got a few bargains. Only problem has been daughters eczema really which I have already discussed over the weekend and this morning in the other blog post.

No one seems to believe me when I say hot weather really does cause her damage. I don't want to keep her locked away but at the same time running around, sweating, rolling in grass etc is driving her skin nuts! Told the teacher today, as well as my daughter that she can't be rolling around in the grass as she was a mess after school Friday. Thank fully it's not as messy today but I've had to send her in bandages, ( tubifast) just to cover up the worst bits and to try and prevent any bad contact, especially since her knee was weeping already this morning. :(

She swam her first gala yesterday and we are so proud of her, three girls in each race and yes she came last, and didn't win anything but she tried and she was a big girl enough not to get upset. She did so well and the girls swimming with her were two stages above where she is as well as having had private lessons. So considering my little girl has only been swimming since Oct she did fantastic! Only thing we weren't overly happy about is that we had to pay to watch. Having not been before this was a shock coming through the door and we had to scrimp really really scrimp in my purse to find the right money! Thank goodness we had it! But I suppose this is the problems with going cash less these days? Least we know for next time. It was so warm in there though! little boy was soaked with sweat after :( Also he wanted to nurse and I was not comfortable with so many people around O_O.  Not that it's anyone's business what I do but not in such close proximity!

Also very proud of my little sister in law who is only 7 but just barely missed out on being 3rd in her race. She did really well as the girls swimming with her are also older than her! sure we have a couple of fish in the family, or is it mermaids? ;)

got the leap frog toys and so glad we did as my little boy loves the lap top! other toy needs new batteries but no biggie. Love swapping/ buying sites! on that note finally sold the other dresses I had on ebay, brand new never been worn.. bloody lucky buyer getting them for £2... I paid £10 for the two. but oh well as long as they are used and are going to someone who really needs a all cotton dress ( which are harder to find then you think!! )

Going to crack on with the house hold chores.. or go and sit outside in the sunshine! Have a lovely day.

Bandage regime!

Just thought I would show a selection of pictures and things that are involved when it comes to having to bandage my daughter with her severe eczema. This use to take up to and over an hour especially when I was doing all four limbs. Yesterday I only did one arm and one leg.

The selection of things needed to carry out the work. Dermol cream (the only moisturiser that works for her! ) normally i put steroid cream on as well but didn't yesterday as I forgot! Viscopaste bandages or as they are known in the house, "cheesy" bandages. Don't ask but my daughter came up with it so we let her keep the name! a normal bandage for over the top of the cheesy one, micropore tape, scissors to cut up the viscopaste and normal bandage and last but not least green or blue line tubifast bandages depending on where you are working on! blue for legs, green for arms.

So first the cheesy bandage! this is a tricky one and you can't do anything else whilst working with it as you get covered in paste! with these ( which are normally used for leg ulcers!) you have to zig zag back and forth over the bandage first one way then the other. So it doesn't fall down apparently! Never just wrapped it round so I don't know if it does! 

This is with the normal bandage over the top, trying to make sure that she can still bend her arm afterwards!

So going off the picture i posted previous of the back of her leg, this is the result after two hours! ignore the little white bits it's just the residue from the viscopaste!

Nothing to do with the above pictures but this is my poor babies neck yesterday, covered in eczema and little spots that i think we have been told before is the start of an infection. It did look better after being in the pool however!

Quick I have five minutes peace!

07:30 am... and all through the house, not a creature was stairing( can't spell and spell check not helping! forgive me I am dyslexic!), not even a mouse, apart from mummy that is. Who has been awake for about an hour and yet children and hubby are asleep. So I've snuck down stairs to have a coffee and bowl of cereal in peace, half wanting to be sat outside in the garden as I type as it is glorious outside. The sun is out, the birds are singing and if it wasn't for the fact the chairs would be wet with dew point i'd be out there. .. plus if little man starts screaming in bed I won't be able to hear.

Was a good day yesterday, apart from the Eczema monster, and the fact my little boy is still coughing badly. My daughter's Eczema as I updated yesterday prevented her from going swimming, I didn't have time to put on bandages to be able to get her into the water ( zinc bandages are a miracle sometimes!!) so as I didn't have time last night either with having people around, I'm going to put them on first thing and take them off before we go out. generally after two hours they have done their job. Fingers crossed she will be able to go to her little gala as she really wants to go! I just didn't want to put her through the stress of going into the chlorine water with broken skin. ( ouch! )

We did instead go to the school's garden party/ summer fair. Which was ok but couldn't spend more then an hour their really. Rhiannon came out really well though, did three tombolas and she won each time, a bag of Haribo, a box of Thorntons chocs.. ( no mummy has not snaffled them....... ) and what she has wanted for a while... a hoola hoop. We were only that morning discussing getting her one as she wanted one and hubby didn't want her wasting money on the toy stall to have a go but i said no its okay and she won one! lol of all things. We were good however and resisted the cakes! We did however buy books.. which is silly as we have a house full which I keep culling and sending to the charity shop. And I hate doing that as I love books!. If I had the room I would have more book shelves!

Stated we got some bargains in Tesco yesterday, we got some garden chairs for £5 each and they are really nice and fold away ones which we are thinking of taking away with us when we go Camping. All we need now is a table! So might see what we can do.

Speaking of Summer, my daughter nearly breaks up from school. Literally we have 8 days left in school ( 9 for any other school mummies from SP's reading!). My little girl only has 8 as we have a hospital appointment on the last day and I have been told they will finish early as well. I am not rushing around  trying to get from Wigan to Leigh with a cranky child who will probably have to have some blood taken to go to school for an hour. School know this. And besides we have been booked onto a over booked clinic so I can't see us being on time anyway! it's a good 40 mins on the bus back to school from the hospital. Also I will have youngest with me so will be stressed! All fun when being a mum. Ugh the thought of it all makes me cringe! Last time they had to take blood she tried to hide in the toilets! they can't use any numbing spray on her arms due to how bad her eczema is, so it really stings when they do it, and because they can't  get any blood out of the veins in her hands they have to go for her arms. Hate it!! I normally have two children screaming at the end of it all.

Someone swap with me.. please!

I was speaking of Summer, I can't believe the school year is over already and that my little girl is going into Year 1. Though I think they are going to come down with a bit of a bump as they won't have their little outdoor play area or as much play stuff to do.. its more structured! bless, I hope they cope come September!

Right before i waffle on too much, today its a quick nip to Asda for any bits we didn't get yesterday, popping over to a house where I should be buying a Leapfrog Laptop and hand held thing, practically brand new for a really good price!  And to the gala to see if we can  go!

Whoo hoo weekend!

I don't generally look forward to the weekend, sometimes they are so busy filled with stuff we can't generally do in the week that it doesn't seem like much of a rest, more of a argh! we need to do x y z whilst I have hubby home with the car!

So today is my daughters swimming lesson, which she really enjoys and I'm glad we are able to provide for her, though not always cheap as paying for it comes at different times in the month as it is in a 10 week cycle! but we've managed it so far since last October! she is really good on her back, so much so we say she has a torpedo strapped to her. But the main thing is she enjoys it. Doesn't do any good for her skin however, she comes out seriously dry! ( I know it's odd). Speaking of which she had a shower and nearly screamed the house down her knees were so bad. So glad we didn't choose to give her a bath. Only problem then was that she woke her brother up :( Oh the fun!

I said that the heat doesn't do her skin any good and it was proved yesterday she comes up with funny white spots on her eczema when warm and she even came up with new patches of these on her neck. I think with wearing her dress, people can see and appreciate how bad it is even with all the creams that get put on. Doesn't help that school let her roll around in the grass... come on!! why would you let someone with severe eczema do that? But as her teacher said she doesn't really let it bother/ stop her. And she doesn't she's so use to having eczema now she just gets on with it. But sometimes I wish she would stop and appreciate how bad it is. I know that is an odd thing to say and it's good that it doesn't bother her but not sure she fully understands that she needs cream on all places and not just the little bits.

I promised a picture of my approved food box yesterday and so here are two, it came in a huge box with four little boxes in, and I could have packed it better.

 Now I know there are alot of cakes in there, but as I said previously I am going to be putting one little one into lunch boxes and hubby can take some if he wants. And for a change something for me to eat at home. Apparently I saved £30 on this box compared with normal retail prices O_O I would not have spent that much on it, let alone the full amount it should have been. Don't get me wrong there are alot of things in there. It includes water bottles in there for madams lunch box too and I will be taking some things in there for camping. The olives are already eaten lol but seems an awful lot of money for not alot of items.

Going to go enjoy the sunshine today ( whilst taking precautions, duh) just becareful out there, as pollen is high, or very high depending where you are! the sun is strong, even if you don't have a high temp where you are. And yes i'm mothering people as it's my job day in and day out ;) take care x




** Little update, didn't take daughter to her swimming lesson as her eczema is too bad to contemplate her going into the water, considering she was screaming in the shower. So  we are just going to the school garden party instead. Have been and got some new garden chairs, a bargain in Tesco ;)

It's Friday and the sun is out!

It's Friday, very nearly the weekend once again, the sun is shining and it is glorious outside! and although it brings round ramifications for us like Eczema etc I do like a bit of sun!

One, because I can put the washing out on the line, two, I can throw the children outside to play :) three, it just feels better then being stuck inside when it's raining and feeling grumpy and blah blah you know the drill!

At school for my eldest it is non uniform day ( send in a donation for a garden party they are having) and we have been brave and sent her in a dress. However it does mean there is easy access to her eczema which isn't doing very well as per my last blog post. I discussed this with school this morning ( as teachers come outside to get any messages etc) one teacher who is the soon to be headmistress was telling me to come into school to apply cream to some more.. sensitive areas ( top of her thighs) whilst the other who deals with my daughters health care plan was all, " Nah just whip her skirt up and put it on, she has a health plan it's fine " ... not that I mind this it's a bit funny but what if the other teacher hadn't been there? I despair sometimes but i hope they do it. Also they were trying to tell me she doesn't always want to sit on her cushion and is stubborn, when i said about other kids she dismissed it. Not sure what to make of that one!

Signs of Summer, clear blue sky, roses are in bloom, and my trying to be fancy by doing two fish tail things in daughters hair! Least it will keep her neck cool.

Though it is lovely and sunny I am waiting in for the post today, something special should be coming for our eldest to do in the car when we are traveling down to Dorset for our holiday .. which is not far off at all! and I'm getting a delivery from Approved Food ... my excuse for the price is it's for packed lunches *nod*...

And for the amount of things i've got coming I don't care. If it's not for packed lunches i will be packing them away for the holiday!  Shops should really get rid of these best before things, really they are a waste of time and money. Sell by dates fine obviously you don't want off food.  I'll show the the box when it turns up!

Got a fairly busy weekend ahead, swimming lessons, shopping, a swimming comp ( no nothing serious, i would not pressure my daughter to do anything she didn't want to do! And it's not really serious for the level she is at )
Also got some of hubbies friends coming round which should be nice, we don't have people round often, not alot its just one family but will make a change! there is also a event on at the school my daughter wants to go to! I might just be glad for Monday to roll around ;)

Enjoy the sunny weather, we might break out the bbq! ( and the sun cream!) take care with the pollen and enjoy it whilst it lasts, it might be the only week of sunshine we get in good old GB! x

Itchy mess

Just if you wanted a little insight into my daughters Eczema, this is one of her knees this evening. Warm weather does her no favours, high pollen, heat, pollution, dresses, grass etc. So to all those looking forward to this mini heat wave we are going to get spare a thought for those who are going to suffer with things that are not self inflicted like hang overs and sun burn!

Still waiting

I don't often like waiting, I find I am not a patient person especially when I need to find something or waiting for appointments.

I stated yesterday that I had to ring the Asthma team to find out why no one had been in touch, I was told someone would give me a ring, they do have appointments but not where I am! And I don't know how to get to the other place :( So here I am still waiting for a phone call grrr! Little boy still isn't much better, however he thought 2 am was a great time to wake up to talk and play. So I came down stairs so that he didn't wake his dad up. So at 5 am he was roasting and trying to be sick, just when you think things are better.

This is my little man who, whilst we were both napping, him in his pram and me on the couch woke up for a cuddle to then crash on me! Please excuse the hair its been a long few days. 

I found out yesterday that things that are too good to be true usually are! Saw some camping items on Ebay that seemed really cheap, everything seemed okay but at the same time too good to be true. Put in a order for a table that went through ok, went to get some chairs and the items had been taken off and the user has been removed! dodgy! least it was only a couple of pounds but still its the inconvenience of it all! Though I did make my first Ebay sale yesterday and have had years of good bargains! it's about time I had something go a little wrong. ( And this week is proving I should go with my feelings much more often. Sometimes I don't trust myself enough and things happen. )

It's been a week since I started and so far I have only missed a day of blogging, I set myself a target of atleast once a day, but hoping I don't get to repetitive. I have received some good feedback from my brother and my husband *Waves* yes I know they are biased but feel free to leave a response if you want! As it is good to get some feed back!

As I stated its been a week so its another activity at the library! today we are celebrating the 4th of July,curious as to why we are doing this in Britain but it gives my daughter something to do! Happy 4th of July however if you are celebrating :) (Perhaps we are happy we got rid of you all ;) Joking of course!)

Run rabbit run!

Feel like I'm doing alot of running around and chasing up today, though not in any way shape or form ready for any sort of running!

Sometimes I miss physically working as at least I could get my mind off of these things! But I've just had to ring the Asthma team to ask why they haven't rung me in regards to my son, as two appointments now have been cancelled. .. we were trying to see what was going on with him if he has asthma or hay fever and after yesterday  I think it might all be in question as my poor little boy is suffering from Croup this week. A very stressed out mummy! I shouldn't have to do all the running around, people should be talking to me!

Took little boy to the drs yesterday after reading up on the internet  ( yes yes I know you shouldn't do this with illnesses) but he had a barking cough, raging temp and was not happy. However he doesn't like drs having been prodded and poked in the past due to allergy tests and omg! it was hell. He was hysterical at the drs and really heaving his poor little chest, and all the dr had to say? well he's not that unwell? sorry can't you hear his cough? so went home having bribed them both with a mc d's (don't judge) he thew up on the bus about 2 minutes before getting off. I knew it was a bad idea.

When hubby got home and heard his cough he wasn't happy with it either so we traveled to the walk in center which was heaving! so promptly turned round and went to accident and emergency. They confirmed it was croup ... so I wasn't imagining it! oral steroids, calpol and a bit of a wait we were able to go home. Not sure if little man will forgive me for letting him be prodded and poked by several people! and another bad night occurred but his cough was not as bad.

On top of that eldests skin flared in the drs and hosp and all cream was at home argh!! it was even weeping on her knees and looked a mess this morning but seeing as she was shattered due to drs etc that we had 30 mins to be up dressed fed etc for school. phew i did it all though!

Other news i made my first Ebay sale whoo! lol and  i over charged for postage.. whoops!!  oh well never mind, though i though two school dresses at 100% cotton would have gone for more then 99p!

Not impressed mummy

Sometimes, I find it so hard to be a mummy, or rather I find it hard dealing with all the added pressure my two bring. I know children are hard ( though I am not sure everyone understands this when they set out to be a parent. ) For some reason I thought when I had my second child that it would all be some how magically different.

My daughter suffers from severe atopic Eczema, now please please please, don't just view this as a bit of itchy skin because it is not. She is 6 in October and all her life she has suffered from dry skin and then Eczema, as well as Asthma and allergies, though no severe food allergies thank goodness!! But just the day to day running of looking after her is sometimes exhausting, its not just her eczema, she has issues with her legs/ joints which we are not sure about, being fobbed off with growing pains, but growing pains don't happen every day or at least several times a week for nearly two years!! recently its now her shoulders and elbows so something is wrong somewhere?

I don't want to seem like one of those hypochondriac parents, I don't want her to be ill, one night I would love to be able to put both children to bed without both of them crying over something, yes the 17 month old is alright doing this, but to try and deal with screams of agony and itchy hell is driving me up the wall. Hubby does help but she gets all fussy and only wants me. And then so does the little man. Argh!!

Add in the fact that school have seemingly not been putting on cream in more then the usual places and it drives me nuts. She came home  with red inflamed patches, yes ok they put it on her elbows and knees, not sure if they put it on her neck but down her back needed doing, there are other patches on her legs. It's like they don't even bother looking and expect a 5 year old to tell them everything, she might be smart but she is 5!!

Told them under no certain terms that she must sit on the cushion that has been provided for her, i don't care what the kids in the adjoining class say she needs it. ( Apparently they told her she can't have a cushion -_-) And if she comes home in a mess again I WILL be having more words.

My poor little girl. Ontop of that my little boy is no better today, could say worse as he is coughing more and its obviously hurting as he bursts into tears and is sick after he coughs. I can't win. So if you want me this week ... be prepared I might be in a mood as I was awake at 3 am with potential sickie baby. It does however make me grateful that  we are co sleeping and breastfeeding still ( if you don't like this you can go wander off as its my choice not yours) and it meant I didn't have to go and sleep in his bed to comfort him, I was able to keep an eye on his temperature and be there immediately if he was sick.

I will leave my mummy moaning on here and go and do the lovely house hold chores whilst he sleeps. As the house doesn't stop needing cleaning just because a child is ill.
